Hey ya'll,
It's been so busy here. I can't believe that Thanksgiving is less then a week away. I love the fall then the trees to turn to their beautiful color. Anyway's things around here have been slow but it's going ok. I'm hopefully gonna have some surprises up soon. But until then, things are moving slow. Lot's of songwriting and putting music to the songs sooo idk but i hope things will speed up a little. I'm working through some things in my life right now, trying to figure out what I'm suppose to be doing sooo yep. I hope to maybe have a vidoe up soon :) Have a great day :)

Here are some way's i have helped me get focused on what I'm doing.
1. Should focus on theme.
The greatest hit songs of all time have been written on this theme. No point re-inventing the wheel. Let ideas flow out of your heart. You should not be afraid to write lyrics that say what you feel. Express yourself!!
2. Stop Thinking So Much About Money.
While this is the music business, you would do better focusing on doing music for the love of it instead of making money your primary focus. If you're doing this just because you think there is money to be made, when that doesn't come you will become frustrated and give up. Focus on writing good songs and the money will follow.
3. Listen to Music.
Listen to songs and hits. Ask yourself this question. What has made these songs hits? What tricks and techniques has the songwriter used? My friend, why create mediocrity if you can copy genius? Some people tend to think differently. But I beg to differ. Just be yourself in the songs no one else. Just be you.
4. Try to Write Songs everyday.
Writing every day will pay off. You don't necessarily have to write an entire song each and every day, but a few lines will go a long way. Practice makes perfect. The more time you spend writing songs the better you will become. You will also get to the momentum of what your feeling and wanting in a song. Some songs take weeks others years.
5. Write Songs About Your Own Experiance.
It's probably much easier to write about what you know than what you've never been through. It comes from within. You should however think of your market and give your songs a global appeal. You need to feel like your able to have your audience relate to your songs. So life situations and things that come your way, hardships, fun times, drama and your journey is that people can relate too.

Theses couple of blog posts are going to be a little different. I’m right now on the road heading to Pennsylvania. It’s a 20 hr car ride with my family. I have had a lot of time on my hands to think and figure out what music means to me personally. So far I’ve gone through Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, and now I’m in Ohio with several hours before I reach my destination. Each of theses States are music they describe something important to us to see and think about. You might think I’m crazy but each state is unique in it’s own way. You have history’s famous wars, some are hilly, some are flat, and some you just see and experience God’s awesome creation. And that is how music is, not every song says they same thing or has the same meaning but if we open up our eyes and look around we can see the beauty before us.
Texas is my home state it means a lot to me cause it’s where I live, where my family and friends are, where I have had ups and downs in my life. It’s where I call home and will always be part of my life. . When your wanting to express yourself through music, or wanting to describe a situation, or feeling, nature, life, friends, you tend to want to look around you and see how to write what your feeling.
In Texas we have big cities, trees, long country drives to the east, down south you can see some really awesome hills and very pretty areas of nature. If you head west you go into semi deserts and where cow boys and rodeos are part of everyday life. When you look in the past of Texas history you see wars fought, Indians who dwelt in tepees, farms plus lot more. Now a days you the future and where we have gone to get to where we are now. So when you want to write a song that describes something look around and see what has happened before and where you are now. For Example here is a sample of Texas.
This is my home land of the brave and strong,
When you look behind you see the past
That has brought us to this new future,
Okay so you think of words that describe something and that’s how song writers express themselves they say how they feel or that their thinking. That’s how the song becomes more personal and we can relate better to them.
I personal love Tennessee it’s known for being the music capital but it’s nature is beyond beautiful. The trees turning an autumn color and hills with houses built on top of them is so cool. Fall there is beautiful. When I was going through Tennessee it brought me memories casue I’ve been there 3 times before and had a really cool time. So when you are trying to write a song look around you and see what’s before you sometimes you see people and how they are trying to express how they feel.
Even nature is trying to tell us something. Every State I’ve been through is unique it’s own way and that’s how it should be for us. We are all different and special and some way so lets express who we are instead of trying to be that person were not. I’m on the road I’ll keep posting as I can. Have a Blessed day :)
